The Transatlantic Cluster Delegation Trip to Germany led us to a variety of companies implementing Industry 4.0 technologies. This included small and medium-sized businesses that have implemented green field facilities or retrofitted facilities. The opportunity to discuss implementation strategies with company management was most insightful. Now I’m bringing this knowledge to my own clients. The schedule also afforded meaningful contacts with the regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as their partners who work with these companies on employing Industry 4.0 best practices. We have used this information to advance strategies in capital provision to manufacturers investing in Industry 4.0 technologies. The GACC Midwest did a great job of selecting a diverse group of participants who could bring the information gathered back to their organizations. I was also able to make contacts with others in our market that I expect will become lasting and significant professional relationships.
