Apprenticeships in the USA
GACC Midwest supports American, German and international companies with the introduction and organization of apprenticeship programs in the USA in order to contribute to the economic success of these companies.
An investment in the future that benefits all
The German dual training system is regarded as one of Germany's most successful exports and as a recipe for success in industry and trade. In the USA, there is a shortage of skilled workers, to which training programs present a viable solution.
The participating companies thus not only secure the demand for skilled workers individually guaranteed to them, but also report significantly higher and longer retention rates with the training company as a result of closer company contact.
GACC Midwest supports companies with information, organization and quality assurance for training programs, and offers complete solutions, such as the ICATT Apprenticeship Program, which are certified according to German DIHK standards and embedded in the system of the US Department of Labor.
How we can assist you
Advantages of Dual Training
The manufacturing industry in particular is currently facing challenges such as:
- the loss of skilled workers due to retirements (baby boomer generation)
- structural problems in the education system (study debts, low attractiveness of careers in manufacturing)
- a high degree of flexibility in the US labor market
This contributes to the fact that the duration of employment of trained specialists in companies is much shorter compared to Germany: employees in the USA are much quicker prepared to change jobs.
Our services include consulting, organization and quality assurance for apprenticeship programs according to German standards.
