Germany is one of the world leaders in electric vehicle adoption and charging infrastructure. In 2021, there were over 560,000 EVs registered in Germany, and the country has a goal of having 15 million EVs on the road by 2030. Germany has plans to spend 6.3 billion euros on expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the next three years and reducing emissions in the transportation sector by 48% by 2030.

The expert trip brings 15 selected experts and professionals from the US EV & Charging Infrastructure sector to Germany. The program brings together key stakeholders from both sides of the Atlantic to share knowledge and best practices and to discuss innovative, sustainable and future-proof solutions. 

The duration of the program is five days, from Monday, November 6 to Friday, November 10, 2023. We kick off the official delegation week with an evening reception at the world's oldes brewery, Weihenstephan, in Munich, that takes place on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Start of the trip: Munich, Bavaria

End of the trip: Stuttgart, Baden-Wuerttemberg

There are plenty of direct flights from Chicago to Munich and back. If you wish to fly back to Chicago from Stuttgart, there are also good flight connections available. If you have any questions regarding flights and transport, please let us know. 

US citizens do not require a visa to enter Germany as they can stay in the country for 90 days within any period of 180 days. Please keep in mind that the visa-free stay is limited to only 90 days only after which you must obtain a residence permit or a visa.
