  • Key steps companies should take now to prepare and protect their claims

What’s New: 

  • CBP has introduced a dedicated refund process using the Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE) tool.
  • Starting Monday, April 20, importers and brokers of record may begin submitting refund requests through CAPE.
  • Valid refund claims are generally expected to be processed within 60 to 90 days, although more complex cases may take longer or may be handled only upon final liquidation.
