This year marks a major milestone for the ICATT Apprenticeship Program — their 10th anniversary. What began in 2015 with just five companies and five apprentices has grown into a thriving community with over 200 apprentices, a presence in 10 states, and an impressive 85% retention rate among program graduates.
ICATT's mission has remained constant: to enable companies to provide high-quality, hands-on career training that prepares individuals for success in advanced manufacturing and other technical fields. Over the past decade, we’ve witnessed how apprenticeship transforms not only businesses — but lives.
In the video below, we are proud to highlight two ICATT alumni who exemplify this impact:
Andrew Splett joined Hermann Ultrasonics, Inc. straight out of high school. With ICATT’s support, he built technical and soft skills that set the stage for lasting success. He remains with the company today, continuing to grow professionally and personally.
Izidorius Laurinaitis discovered ICATT through GACC Midwest and began his journey at Felsomat USA. From there, his career took him to Tesla and now to Lapmaster Wolters, where he works as a Field Service Engineer. He credits his apprenticeship with developing the perseverance that still powers his ambitions.
Their stories show that apprenticeships don’t just teach skills — they open doors.
To the ICATT companies, mentors, educators, and apprentices: thank you for making this journey possible. We can’t wait to see where the next ten years take us.
