From November 30 to December 4, 2026, GACC Midwest and GACC South, in cooperation with the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), will host a trade show in the United States (Kentucky and Tennessee) focused on sustainable plant engineering solutions for battery manufacturing. The target group consists primarily of small and medium-sized German companies.

Participation offers in-depth insights into market trends and business opportunities, as well as the chance to present products and solutions at industry symposia. The focus is on building professional connections: through targeted networking and one-on-one meetings with potential business and sales partners, as well as relevant decision-makers, long-term collaborations can be initiated. In addition, site visits help participants build a lasting professional network.

Why participate?

German machinery and plant manufacturers can benefit from highly attractive business opportunities, particularly in the following areas:

  • Shifting demand patterns rather than market decline: new requirements emerging across the entire battery value chain
  • Growing need for efficiency and scaling: strong focus on energy-efficient equipment, automation, as well as process optimization and digitalization

Target Group and Participation

This business delegation is aimed at eight to twelve German companies in the field of machinery and plant engineering for the production and recycling of energy storage systems, battery cells and packs, as well as the processing and recovery of critical raw materials.

The participation fee depends on the size of the company:

  • €250 (net) for companies with an annual turnover of less than €2 million and fewer than 10 employees
  • €850 (net) for companies with an annual turnover of less than €150 million and fewer than 750 employees
