Lightweight Delegation Trip to Germany

Connect with key players in the German lightweight materials and technology industry who represent business and research institutions, leading industry associations, and cluster organizations from December 9 - 13, 2019.

What can you expect from this delegation trip?

This delegation trip to Germany, as part of the Transatlantic Cluster Initiative, is an exceptional opportunity for know-how exchange and network building between industry clusters in the United States and Germany and is generously supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy through the European Recovery Program (ERP).

This trip will take you to Stade (near Hamburg) and Augsburg (near Munich) for two days each to visit our partners MAI Carbon and CFK Valley, who operate under the umbrella of the Germany-wide lightweight materials and technology cluster organization Composites United. Members of our partner organizations that will potentially host a visit include companies such as Airbus, Audi, BMW, Fraunhofer Institute, and ZF Friedrichshafen.

Participation requirements:

  • Program fee: $450*
  • Participants are responsible for their own air fare to and from Germany.

*Program fee covers (6) overnight stays, meals, cultural activities, entrance fees, and transportation as part of the program agenda while in Germany.
