German Business Delegation

GACC Midwest brought a business delegation consisting of German companies involved in facilitating energy efficiency for industrial manufacturing to Michigan from February 22-26, 2016.

AuCom MCS GmbH & Co. KG
specializes in complete motor control solutions that reduce starting current and gently accelerate the motor resulting in smoother operation and minimizing mechanical and electrical stress on the system. As a recognized global leader in starter packaging, product design, and the optimization of secure and efficient electricity usage, AuCom’s solutions can be implemented in numerous industries like oil & gas, food & beverage, pulp and paper, irrigation, mining & quarrying and water & waste water. Its solutions are easy to operate and set up, so installers can have a fast commissioning without a large investment in learning its operation.

Berghof Systeme Group GmbH’s
adaptive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software helps to optimize, manage, and automate dynamic logistical support systems. Their intelligent software plug-ins, that control and automate ERP solutions, compile data to calculate future demand, which in turn reduces overhead, shortens delivery times, decrease waste in the manufacturing process, and improve capital investment. Their software is designed to be used with almost any currently available ERP software.

boraident GmbH
offers laser marking, laser structuring, and glass sensor systems for glass manufacturers and flat glass processing companies. Their multi-functional Laser Bird alters the functional coatings of glass surfaces and creates customized solutions that can be operated through an app which allows for user friendly application and does not require a highly trained operator allowing for more cost-effective and efficient production.

Christiani Wassertechnik GmbH
produces eco-friendly water treatment systems that prevent the formation of scale deposits. The Vulcan-Impulse-Technology treats any pipe material exclusively with capacitive electric impulses. No salt or chemicals are used, thus Vulcan offers an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient alternative to traditional (chemically operating) water softeners. Suitable for pipe diameters from 0.5" to 20" (~ 10-500 mm), the system operates free of maintenance.

FST GmbH
specializes in the field of industrial air and gas filtration treatment, monitoring, and management systems. Their filtration systems for compressed air can be used to achieve standard instrument air, oil-free air, sterile ultra-pure air, or medical breathing air. FST’s equipment can handle pressure ranges from 16 bar up to 500 bar, with flow rates of up to 1000 ft³/sec (105,000 m³/h).

geff GmbH
specializes in intelligent energy-saving solutions by offering a modular yet holistic portfolio of services and solutions, a technology (and brand)-neutral perspective towards all potential solutions, support in financing projects, an energy savings guarantee, ongoing monitoring solutions, and the development of unique and innovative new solutions for complex problems. geff applies its concept of “people, systems, and technology” to energy management and optimization for clients in the industrial, commercial, and/or institutional sectors, and is the “go-to” partner for several German-owned global OEMs and multinational firms worldwide.

Glaswerke Arnold GmbH & Co. KG
provides environmentally friendly, cost-effective and customized, architectural glass solution such as solar control, bird collision protection and heat insulation glass to building owners, architects, planners and project engineers. Their multifunctional solar control glass is available in a color matching range including 40%, 50%, 60%, and 70% light transmission allowing a customized coordination of different solar control glass types in one building without compromising a visually and color matched facade. Along with the low-emissivity coating for significant thermal insulation, their Bird Protection Glass ORNILUX provides bird collision mitigation with a high level of transparency.

Janitza electronics GmbH
offers energy management systems such as class A power quality analyzers, a wide range of digital multi meters and energy data management software. Different meters and software solutions are available for different project sizes. The energy measurement technology is widely functional and can be easily integrated into any existing operational process allowing for significant cost saving.
