Thuringian Evening

Join us for the Dinner & Networking Reception!

The Minister President of the Free State of Thuringia, Mr. Bodo Ramelow, and the Thuringian Minister of Economic Affairs, Science and Digital Society, Mr. Wolfgang Tiefensee, cordially invite you to a Thuringian Evening at the Detroit Athletic Club on Monday, May 15, 2017 as part of their delegation visit to the USA.

Thuringia is known for its industrial tradition in automotive, optics, and mechanical engineering. Auto manufacturing has deep roots in the state, dating back to the early 20th century. With global players like General Motors, Magna, Bosch, BMW, Daimler, IHI, and BorgWarner, the state has around 580 automotive manufacturers as well as innovative and visionary medium-sized automotive suppliers with production operations.

With the underlying theme of Reformation, Bauhaus and Engineering Excellence, the delegation would like to promote the unique qualities and opportunities the Free State of Thuringia has to offer.

Join us in celebrating Thuringian and German culture and tradition, together with American music and fine cuisine for a chance to network with representatives in an open exchange from areas of business, research, science and culture from Thuringia and Germany.
