Business Luncheon Series

Join us for our next Business Luncheon on August 2!

Topic: NAFTA and the North American Auto Industry

Join our expert Thomas Klier (Senior Economist and Research Advisor, Federal Reserve Bank) at the GACC Midwest Luncheon Series for a discussion about the current state of NAFTA, its far-reaching effect on the automotive industry - and what potential changes could mean to the industry in general and your business in particular.

The automotive industry in North America is extremely closely entwined with NAFTA: the auto sector is a major employer in Canada, Mexico and the US alike, and the countries' auto industries are tightly linked when it comes to production, imports, and exports.

Importantly, NAFTA resulted in the integration of automotive production and supply networks within the North American region. It has also helped attract major domestic re-investments and FDI to North America.

It is clear there is a lot at stake for the automotive industry and many companies within our network when negotiating changes to this trade agreement.
