Trade Show Support

The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, Inc. can support you in the preparation, execution, and follow-up activities involved in exhibiting at a trade show in the US.

We know from experience that presence at a US trade fair alone is not enough to attract new business partners and customers. In order to achieve the desired results, preparation for a US trade show is particularly important.

An essential aspect is scheduling targeted meetings prior to the trade show. Through this, you secure the interest of meaningful meeting partners in advance.

Our team can tap extensive market experience and is available to you as an on-the-ground contact. Together with you, we develop a targeted strategy to attract meeting partners and potential customers to your trade show booth.

We have been successfully supporting German companies and American companies with German ties in transatlantic business for over 50 years. Our intercultural, bilingual team is specialized in effectively assisting you throughout the entire trade show process.

Profit from our vast experience, deep market knowledge, and industry expertise in making your trade show investment pay off.

“Our assistant from GACC Midwest served as the perfect host during the IMTS by seamlessly attending to the needs of the visitors and guests to our booth.”

Trade Show Preparation

In preparation of the trade show, we can carry out a brief market study. This study includes an overview of the relevant sales channels, meaningful competitors, market entry requirements, and other industry companies that will be at the show. This serves as a point of reference for how to present your company and your products or services as well as how to adjust your company profile and/or marketing materials for the US market.

In addition, we can identify your target market in the US and carry out customized marketing efforts such as mailings, phone campaigns or press releases in important media outlets as well as contact potential clients after researching appropriate contacts in your industry.

A comprehensive business partner search is also possible in conjunction with this. By scheduling meetings prior to the trade show you can secure the interest of potential customers and business partners in advance. We can also arrange company visits for you around the trade show so you can get to know US companies and become familiar with a potential business location in the US.

Trade Show Presence

GACC Midwest supports your trade show presence through booth staffing and representing your company with our bilingual and qualified trade show personnel. This enables you to have more time for your customers at the trade show. We can provide you with a report on the results as desired.

Bilingual GACC Midwest staff can accompany you to meetings with relevant companies and support you in negotiations. If needed, we also organize an on-site interpreter to avoid language or intercultural misunderstandings.

If needed, we can offer the use of our conference room in downtown Chicago for meetings during the trade show. According to your needs, we can arrange catering and office equipment (PC, internet, projector, etc.). Space rental can be arranged on a daily or hourly basis.

Trade Show Follow-Up

Following the trade show, we contact the visitors to your booth to establish a relationship with your business connections so that concrete business opportunities can arise from your trade show participation. We also support you in publishing advertisements and articles for your company in relevant industry publications.

A next step toward successful market entry after trade show participation is a virtual office in the US. Our virtual office service includes a US postal address, phone and fax lines, an email address, and administrative support, and is led by a GACC Midwest staff member. Your virtual office in the US gains an on-the-ground presence with low initial costs and enables US customers to conveniently get in touch with an English-speaking contact person from your company during US business hours.
