Transatlantic Water Tech Conference in Minneapolis, MN

Combat U.S. Water Issues--Utilize the Latest Innovations in Water Tech from Germany

The pressing challenges of today's aging water infrastructure--including water main breaks, insufficient water metering, stricter regulations on water quality, and a lack of investment--affect all water professionals equally. The American Water Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers calculate the total costs for repair and maintenance of water systems could reach up to USD 1 trillion over the next two decades. These challenges, combined with the implementation of stricter environmental regulations and an increasing awareness of the value of water resources in the U.S., generate major market opportunities in this sector.

Germany has one of the most efficient water infrastructure systems in the world and offers numerous innovative technologies that have been operating successfully for years. The U.S. can now benefit from German best practice solutions.

To take advantage of this synergy, GACC Midwest organized a Transatlantic Water Tech Conference in Minneapolis-St.Paul, MN which was held on May 19, 2015. The conference featured local and international expert speakers and company representatives from the American and German water sectors. Attendees learned about new wastewater management & water infrastructure solutions, heard about the latest developments and trends in the German and U.S. water markets, and discovered innovative products and technologies from Germany.

This event, fully funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, was free to attend. Attendees had the opportunity to network with international and local water experts while exploring new transatlantic partnerships for your business or organization.
