Building the Digital Factory of Tomorrow

With a German Industry 4.0 Trade Mission coming to Michigan from December 4-6, 2017, GACC Midwest hosted a Business Conference focusing on technologies driving the manufacturing industries in Troy, MI on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

The conference was part of a trade mission composed of 13 German companies offering advanced manufacturing technologies that automate and accelerate business processes and decisions, and save companies time and cost through e.g. workflow optimization, predictive maintenance, and automated inventory management, as well as technology providers of AI, mixed reality software solutions, sensor technologies and information and network security.

Industry 4.0 is the digitization of the manufacturing sector, where big data, advanced analytics and the IoT are being leveraged, to make productions smarter, faster, create better profit margins, and give companies a competitive advantage.

The conference provided attendees with the chance to:

  • hear about the latest trends and developments in the German and US manufacturing and machinery market
  • learn about cutting-edge technologies and innovations from Germany
  • explore partnership opportunities with German companies and to network
  • discover how close integration of intelligent and flexible digital tools can help businesses become faster, efficient and effective
